Views on Hong Kong Island from in between buildings

October 11, 2013

I already showed you some beautiful views from our Cool Corner room at the W Hong Kong here, here and here.

This is another small series of gorgeous views. This time it’s neighborhood Central on Hong Kong Island, seen between two buildings in front of the hotel.

We see that area at different hours of the day and night, and in different types of weather, like sun, fog, rain and clouds.

Oh, I miss these views! And Hong Kong. And the W.

BUT…..Singapore is very cool as well;-).

It’s funny because my husband has stayed at that W and said, “it was just okay”. I think that after travelling for so long he has become oblivious to the details all around him. That or he is too stressed with work to notice. Either way it is a shame to be somewhere and not see the beauty around you.

I think it takes an artist as yourself to really notice.

That is one factor. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. If your husband is there for work he may not be so focussed on the hotel decor. Also it depends very much of how you are treated. Being there longer gives opporunities to build a bit of a relationship. That helps as well.

These photos are GREAT! I love how you capture the different weather along with the picture of the raindrops on the window. All fantastic! Makes me miss Hong Kong, too, but you’re right……Singapore is very cool too. It’s one of my all-time favorite places.

Did you live in both Singapore and Hong Kong, Christine? And where do you live now?
