My travel series about Saigon ends here
I took you with me to speakeasy and hipster coffee places, we dove deeper in this city via local tours, checked out restaurants and bars, admired heaps of dressed up deities in Cholon and much more.
Thanks for tagging along!
Bye bye Saigon!
With these collages of Saigon’s street life we say Bye bye Saigon!
The streets are filled with vendors who carry their merchandise over their shoulders.

There are lots of markets of all kinds in Saigon.

There is not much consistency in the architecture. Actually ‘chaos’ would be the accurate term, hahaha.

People sit on miniature stools or on a newspaper on the pavement.

There’s room for business everywhere.

Lunch breaks in Ho Chi Minh are long!

Lunch breaks are for napping, doing nothing or playing cards.
25 Years ago there were still a lot of bike taxis. That has changed.

There are hardly any bike taxis left. Just a few for the tourists.
After a while nothing surprises you anymore, like when you see a pink pigeon, a man selling masks from his bike or messy cable-knots.

We had a good time, Saigon, but it’s time to move on.
Hello Phu Quoc
Time to fly to Phu Quoc, an emerald island and home to Vietnam’s most idyllic beaches. Let’s check it out, shall we?
lets see what Phu Quoc brings
Yes, let’s!
Wait! A pink pigeon? What happened to that guy?

No idea! Holi fest was not long before, so maybe they celebrate that in Vietnam too? Throwing with color powders and such?
