Be-dazzled by Crystal Universe at ArtScienceMuseum Singapore

March 11, 2017

I wrote several posts about Singapore’s ArtScienceMuseum before:

  • about an Escher exhibit
  • about a fantastic LEGO exhibition
  • and about a Japanese multi-media show

Interactive digital playground by TEAMLAB

One of the museums permanent exhibitions is called Future World by TeamLab.

It’s an interactive digital playground for young and old alike.

I visited Future World three times now -since I like to show it to overseas guests - and I had a good time there each time.

Posing on coloured cubes with Wouter, the boyfriend of my bonus-daughter Simone.

The different parts of the Future World exhibition are all colourful, pretty and playful, so what’s not to like?!

From 14 march new additions will be opened! Time to give you an impression of a part of Future World that is already there now.

Crystal Universe

You could surely say that I got be-dazzled by Crystal Universe at ArtScienceMuseum.

Today I’m sharing my favourite pics with you.

170.000 LED lights

In this space 4D technology and 170.000 LED lights create an illusion of stars moving in space.

Along a narrow path you walk through the installation and feel yourself at the centre of the universe.

Feeling intergalactic today!

The light and body of the installation responds to your mass and motion.

Doesn’t it look magical?

Bring a friend and a camera

The beauty and poetry of the space scream to be photographed!

For that you need a subject and a photographer, so don’t visit this exhibiton alone. It’s way more fun and rewarding to go in good company.

One of my visits was with bonus-daughter Simone and her boyfriend Wouter. We had fun!

Here you see a group inside the Crystal Universe, posing and taking pics. Tip: don’t take a zillion of pics and a lot of time, unless you are the only one at the exhibit. The space is quite small actually.

Have you been to Future World and Crystal Universe already? Did you enjoy it?

Depending on wether you are a resident or not and wether you want to visit all exhibits or just one, a ticket varies from 14 to 28 SGD. Not cheap, but then again: what IS cheap in Singapore? Hahaha…
