Yesterday I received an email from Candace Rose Rardon, the famous and talented blogger/artist from The Great Affair. She informed me that (for the second year in a row), she included some of my Paper 53 sketches in her Summer Sketchbook 2014. Cool! I am so thankful and honored that she accepted my sketches.
Be sure to check out that post on her blog and see which other sketchers and sketches she included. Not in the last place those by herself; she is an awesome artist!
Candace’s blog is really worthwhile to follow anyway. Not only because of the sketches, but the girl can write too; a true storyteller. Her pictures are pretty, she travels around, meets people everywhere and , well, she’s just a very interesting person!
Some hours later I received a message from my blogging-friend Suzanne from Suzanne Carillo’s Style Files. She wrote me that her blogpost about me, my house and her recent visit to the Netherlands was up on her blog.
I quickly went over to her fabulous blog to look at the post. And I love it! In the first place because she really ‘gets’ me and my style. But besides that the usual ingredients (that I know from her blog) guarantee a fun article:
- very, very funny written
- Suzanne is a storyteller, like Candace from The Great Affair is, as I mentioned above
- she takes beautiful pictures
- and …wait for it…. an Oscar-worthy video with a grand-tour of my house. Ok, there might be some exaggeration here, but still…;-)
Suzanne’s blog is very follow-worthy too. Where Candace’s blog is about traveling, sketching, exploring and connecting, Suzanne’s blog is a fashion-meets-personality-meets-style/creativity blog. Despite not being a fashionista myself (I like clothes and dressing up, but fashion….not really….) I love Suzanne’s blog. It’s highly entertaining!
I hope you will have a look at both blogs; hopefully you will get as enchanted as I did!
Thanks, Candace and Suzanne! It’s an honor to make a guest appearance on your blogs;-).

Congrats on the sketchbook inclusion! Some fun and colourful work there.
Thanks for the shout out.
It was so wonderful and generous of you to invite me into your home. I’m just delighted I got a chance to peak into your creative soul.
bisous
Suzanne
It was a kindred spirit-ed encounter; special!
