Today I am showing you 15 cool hotels in Singapore.
When I am in Singapore, I stay in our own apartment, so I have not slept in any of these hotels. But I visited several of them for drinks, lunch or dinner. Some others I visited especially for this post. For the rest I based myself on reviews, Tripadvisor, blogs and websites.
Some hotels in Singapore don’t need any introduction, like the Marina Bay Sands Hotel (ranked #36 on Tripadvisor) with it’s spectacular rooftop infinity pool and prime location.

The spectacular architecture of the Marina Bay Sands Hotel in Singapore during sunset. On top, where you see the trees, is a fantastic infinity pool.

This is the view from the infinity pool on top of the Marina Bay Sands Hotel in Singapore. Impressive, right?!
Or the colonial-style Raffles Hotel (ranked #3 on Tripadvisor), one of Singapore’s landmarks since many, many years.
The same goes for the Fullerton Hotel, a majestic colonial building and former post office.
Singapore’s first boutique hotel, The Scarlet Hotel (ranked #43 on Tripadvisor), is also well-known, not in the last place for it’s location in the heart of Chinatown and it’s cute rooftop bar.
All great hotels, yet they are not in this list. I decided to show you hotels that are probably less known, sometimes small, but for sure cool, hip and happening.

Note: hotel rooms in Singapore are not cheap !
If you are a budget traveller and looking for something under 50 euros per night, you are in for a real challenge. That is, if you want something clean and pleasant. It IS possible, but you will have to settle for a dorm bed in a hostel, or something like that. In this post these kind of rates are available at The POD and at iStayInn.
On the top end, the sky is the limit. But let’s say that we leave all royal suites ‘extraordinair’ etcetera out and stick to the hotels’ standard rooms and rates, then the highest rates are around 350 euro per night.
For 200 euro per night, you should be able to find a very good hotel room.
Tripadvisor is a great way to find a hotel and room to your liking, with all it’s reviews.
You can book via them. Or you can use Agoda or Asia Rooms.
Do you have any experience with hotels in Singapore? Good or bad? Any recommendations? I would love to hear from you!
I stayed in the Pan Pacific and while it might not be ‘cool’ it was a great hotel with superb views.
The Pan Pacific is a good hotel on a prime location. The views must indeed be spectacular!
That new majestic hotel looks amazing.
