In and out during the weekend

March 24, 2014

Last saturday and sunday were very different days for me.

Saturday was an active day; I walked around where we live for some errants and in the evening Frits and I walked around Marina Bay for the iLight Festival 2014.

I guess they cut some big plants, because for the first time I had quite a good view of one of Singapore’s famous ‘haunted’ houses on the plot of land next to where we live. The plot has two more famous houses, also in ruins and unaccessible. The land is worth 350 million sgd!!!

It seems the Singapore Youth Council is restricting the areas for graffiti; a bad development. Luckily I caught this one with my camera, since the next day it was gone. A graffiti class had then painted over this piece, because there is not a lot of walls left to work on.
I ran into a walking alarm clock….
….and into three guys in skirts and with wigs;-). Hilarious!

In the evening we really enjoyed ourself at the iLight Festival. In the coming days I will report more extensively about the festival. It is still on till the 30th, so you can still visit it for yourself! But hurry; you have only five days left!

Here is a preview of a few of the light-installations:

The day we visited iLight, an afternoon for pets and their owners was part of the program. And there were not only dogs present!

This year the organizers of iLight provided a great additional program with live music and a lot of F&B options.

Sunday was not such a good day. I had quite a headache and was very tired. So I stayed in that day. Couch potato-ing. Sometimes the world is my oyster, often the couch is my world and my home office;-).

Blogging and emailing….
Writing and pimping snail mail….

Today it’s back to business as usual. Well, usual…..? There are painters here now to patch up the ceiling after a major leakage last week, we may have termites, our landline is dead and we have internet problems.

Never a dull moment, that’s for sure;-)!

How was your weekend? Did you visit iLight already?

Ummm…that doesn’t sound so great : ( I hope you are feeling better and all of the apartment issues are dealt with quickly. I hate having workers in the house.

That light show looks cool. The bunny was super cute. I’d love to have a bunny.

Glad you liked the little package : )

How I wish I had curly/wavy hair like you.

    bisous

Tx, Suzanne, and yes, I am feeling better. Most of the apartment issues are not solved yet:-(. But at one point they will, right?

I was mainly scared that some of the many, many dogs that were present, might be attracted to the bunny in a predator way. But it seemed to go just fine.

Pictures of your package will appear in a post soon;-).

I am quite happy with my curls indeed.
