Street Vendors in Pune

October 9, 2012

A documentary series about our trip to Rajasthan is about to start in a couple of days.

Let’s have a look at some street vendors today.

Ganesh gave us a good look at a whole range of small items for sale on the streets. My plan was to buy some here and there, but I got the flu and I could not go for a shopping ‘session’.
At least I have the pictures to enjoy.

There are flutes….

…and flutes….

…and a whole lotta flutes more…;-)

Ok, I think that’s about enough flutes!!! 😉

Beaded necklaces…
Nuts and corns…..
…..’golden’ watches…..
…..sacred grasses for worship….
…horns…
…whistles…
….spices….
…pans and bags….
…misc household items….
…more sacred grasses….
….and heartshaped balloons….

No shortage of street merchandising, as you can see!!!

In two weeks, when we are back in Singapore, I will show you my finds, because I DID buy some nice souvenirs!
Hopefully I will be able to add a nice hand puppet from Rajasthan to my trophies ;-).
