I end this documentary series with some festive and colorful pictures from the last day (Immersion Day) in the heart of Old Pune:
It was crowded…..VERY crowded. Unless you managed to stand front row on on a high point, it was IMPOSSIBLE to see the procession really:-(.

| They had a fantastic spot! |
![]() |
| A wall of people was all you saw. |
![]() |
| They had found themselves a good spot as well! |
![]() |
| And they! |
Suddenly…oops….we found ourselves walking IN the procession…how did THAT happen???
![]() |
| Lots of space to walk, all of a sudden…hahaha… |
![]() |
| Apparently we were walking behind a group of visually impaired boys??? Or was that not the case at all? No clue…. |
![]() |
| Yes, hello folks, we are in the procession…. |
But ofcourse we could not stay there and since it was impossible to see anything much, we got out of there and walked towards quiter, less crowded places. No procession there, but lots of street photography possibilities and people watching.
Gulal (color powder), mainly red or orange, was everywhere, coloring the streets and the people, and even, here and there, the animals;-)!!!
Frits and I succeeded to stay clear from gulal, since it sure LOOKS gorgeous, but is quite unhealthy, even dangerous. At a certain moment a man insisted of giving us a small pile in our hands. He did not dare to throw it on us, fortunately! Our tuk-tuk-driver could not escape that man though, and he was NOT amused.

| The powder came in one of his ears and he was worried. |

| Apparently this horse had gotten his share of gulal as well;-). |
Well, with these colorful shots this Ganesh series has come to an end. Time for something else! Rajasthan is up next…. Stay tuned and have a nice day!
