Holland, Sydney and Singapore

August 23, 2010

I’m back. After three months in the Netherlands and two weeks of traveling a lot I’m ready to resume blogging

Where to start, after all this time and all these experiences?I guess you are dying to know what I have been up to, right? ;-).

Below is a photo impression, at random and in no particular order:

I brought 100 shoe bags to the Netherlands from Singapore.

Got my outgrowth painted blond.
Lots of doggies to play with;-).
Like Shariff, Jessica’s dog. What a character!
Jo en Silvio’s dog.
Cash after surgery. Such a pretty dog with the sunniest character.
Guust, my darling cat and I enjoyed each other so much. Lots of TLC.
Many dinners with family and friends. Like here at Pasta e Basta, with Menno and Simone.
Frits and me at Pasta e Basta.
There were birthdays to be celebrated, like Frits’.
Hats that needed to be worn….
Dinner at Zuidam, with Simone and Frits
Like I said: hats to be worn…
60 year marriage of Frits’ parents.
At 60 year wedding celebration of Frits’ parents.
The lovely summer weather asked for visits to the beach. Like here with Menno, Simone and Anneke.
There were unexpected encounters, like here with Yvonne and a skull head guy.
..lots of orange…
…more beach….
…like with Hans at Woodstock
There were beautiful skies…
…birthday parties at the Vondelpark (Simone 21years)…
There were guests from abroad, like Jacqueline from Canada.
There were visits to friends, like Sandra.
The occasional bubbly here and there…
And so much to photograph, like this stillife at Yvonne’s house.
…or this stillife at my own house…
I held a jewelry weekend…
…visited my parents in Belgium…
I photographed numerous flowers, like this poppy heart.
…and this fly in Buitenkaag.
Visiting my friend Hanneke in Buitenkaag.
I always feel so huge compared to Hanneke.
Visited the recently opened Skypark in Singapore. Quite spectacular.
Exploring Singapore with Simone.
A lot of military display at Singapore’s 45th National Day.
And lots of fireworks in Singapore, like often.
Simone and I got in heavy rains at Sentosa Island.
Visiting boyfriend and daddy in Sydney.
…where we had a beautiful view from our hotel room!
We almost blew away at the Sydney Opera House.
There were renovations going on in the hotel, so Simone and I got cocktails for compensation;-).
Lots of animals, like these Ibisses in Sydney.
And this foot bathing seagull in Sydney.
And this iguana.
Simone posing as a spider….
Frits jumping…
Me looking through a wall.
…and making jumps….
We certainly had our share of Starbucks in Sydney.
And in Sydney there were magnificent skies too.
Simone and I looked for at least half an hour at hundreds of fruitbats at the Botanical Gardens in Singapore. Fascinating.
The murals and graffity in Netwon, Sydney, were overwhelming!
What a neighbourhood. Magnificent!
We had Mexican food in Sydney….
…stepped elegantly over fallen trees….
Simone went for a classic manicure and pedicure.
Reunited with Celeste and Cupid, in Singapore.
I was cold in Sydney, although there was sunshine during the day.
Pole hugging in Singapore.
Fireworks again in Singapore, this time because of the Youth Olympic Games.
And we followed the Australian elections, since the results were gonna be of influence on Frits’ project.

All in all an eclectic, varied blogpost, I would say. I hope you enjoyed it.
