Street art hunting
As you may know, I’m always on the lookout for street art, wherever I am. Also in Bali.

“Choose Life”.
Street art in unexpected places
What I noticed in Bali is that you may find street art everywhere. Any blind wall will do. Not always on the most picturesque locations, not always the finest street art. But you will stumble on interesting, attractive pieces regularly. Graffiti surrounded by rice paddies on the other hand is not your everyday sight, of course!

It reads “Shift”, folks not Sh*t!
You will come across commissioned pieces as well, on (exterior) walls of shops, bars and restaurants.
We drove around in taxis a lot, which makes it less obvious to make a stop at every corner where you spot some cool graffiti. But when you travel on foot, by bike or motorbike, you can easily check out all the pieces of street art that you ‘ll see while going from A to B.

We were on foot when we came across this house that was for a big part covered with graffiti. Loved it.

Cool street art in Bali
Here is some more cool street art that I saw during our latest trip to Bali:

The Simpsons.

By Xuf, the guy that did a lot of walls inside La Favela. Read more about him here.

One of Xuf’s Frida Kahlo versions.

Vintage bike - Press Ban

“Oh, the places you’ll go - Bali”

I love the combination of the traditional (Balinese masks) with the contemporary (the street-style clothes) in this piece.

Wheatpaste :”Live Passionately”

Let me guess: working on the computer eats your brain and turns you into a computer?

Hearts in the rice fields.
Are there specific things that you are always on the lookout for when you are traveling?
I am ashamed to say that I am always on the look-out for shoes and clothes when I travel. So not cultural.. Nearly all of the examples of street art you show are really very very good.
Please don’t be ashamed. Just different tastes and interests.
