Review Bar Unique at RIMBA Jimbaran Bali

Review Bar Unique at RIMBA Jimbaran Bali

In my previous blog post, the one with my review from Bali’s popular Rock Bar, I announced this review. Without further ado, here is my review of Bar Unique, Rimba Jimbaran Bali’s rooftop bar.

As I explained in my previous post, in this part of Jimbaran, you find two luxury hotels next to one another: Ayana Resort & Spa Bali and RIMBA Jimbaran Bali. The grounds are that vast -90 hectares- , that walking from one hotel to the other is quite a stretch. Therefor there is a shuttle service available for hotel guests.

We did not stay at the RIMBA, neither did we explore the beautifully landscaped gardens. Instead, we went straight to one of the hotels bars/restaurants, named Unique.

Beautiful interior design and landscaping

Walking over there, I was very pleased with and impressed by the design of the hotel and it’s outdoor areas.

Peculiar art.

The lobby is fabulous, with it’s high ceiling, open concept, bamboo art hanging from the ceiling and recycled-wood-walls.

All around you you see different levels and sublevels.

Seating areas are sprinkled around over the grounds and the same goes for ponds and pools.

Isn’t this amazing???!!!

I need this lounge couch!!!

A long pool divides the bar in an indoor and an outdoor part.

The views are fantastic.

Hotel guests were chilling in the pool on floating FatBoys, cocktail in hand.

We decided to sit outside, which could have been great, if not for the tiny-ant-colony that was omni-present in the lounge area. After bringing that to the attention of the staff, they did their best to clean the area, but needless to say that they did not fully succeed.

So at one point we decided to move one level up, to the part where they serve Mexican food.

Upstairs.

We took place at a long bar, overlooking the enormous gardens of the hotel, the green hills around us and the ocean behind that.

We enjoyed the food, the view, the cloud formations and the sunset.

I think there was a wedding, because from a certain moment on there was a lasershow going on.

Leaving the hotel by night, we saw the same areas that we saw upon arrival that day, literally, in a different light. A very special atmosphere; really nice!

Apart from the ants we really enjoyed this rooftop bar for the interior design, the views, for chilling out and for the Mexican food.
