Chinese Garden Sydney
Last time we were in Sydney, we paid a visit to the Chinese Garden of Friendship. A green, tranquil oasis in Darling Harbour.
What is there to do at Sydney’s Chinese Garden of Friendship
Is it a must-see attraction? One of the highlights of our three weeks in Sydney?
No, it is not. It’s small and there’s not much going on.
But that is at the same time its appeal. It is a peacefull, relaxing garden. A great place to sit, read a book, have some tea, contemplate life or cool down on warm days.
There is a pond with a modest waterfall, there are some shaded seating areas, a tearoom overlooking the pond, bamboo bushes, big stones and rocks, and the occasional lizard peeping out of the green.
Green, green and more green
If you are looking for colour (other than green;-)) at the Chinese Garden Sydney, you are in the wrong place.
The colors we saw came from these two girls. No idea what they were doing there. They walked past us too fast for us to ask them. Pretty and cute, right?!
The other colors we saw were those of the cute masks that were made by visiting children during Chinese New Year.
An hour is more than enough to walk through the garden.
Like I said: nothing exciting, but a relaxing escape from the hustle and bustle of the city around it.
Have you visited Sydney’s Chinese Garden of Friendship? Did you enjoy your stay there? Are you a fan of Chinese and Japanese Gardens in general?

Looks like an enchanting, magical place. There seems to be a great vibe.
