Murals around The Substation

May 2, 2014

Longtime readers know all about my love for street art and murals and how uncommon they are in Singapore.

Nevertheless I still succeed to find some cool ones every now and then. Also because I am really, really on the lookout for them.

After a visit to the wonderful Peranakan Museum, I stumbled upon some wall-filling murals in the alley between the museum and the adjacent Substation. Be sure to walk to the end of that alley, because it continues around the corner, at the back of Timbre@theSubstation.

Have a look:

The first part that you see has a different style then the rest. Very beautiful!

The names of the artists that participated on this huge mural.

This part looks a bit messy from this angle.
Sometimes a certain angle works better to really see or appreciate a mural.
Three eyes, luxurious!
Extra intimidating lion!
There is a lot to see on this wall; wow!
That scream is impressive.

I like it; pretty colors too. What do you think? Do you like it?

Wow that is fantastic! I agree, those colours against the red background really pop.

Not my kind of thing. I like beautiful colours and happy endings and nice flowers.
