There were several traditional, historical and classical sites in Taipei that we could have visited. Musea famous for their chinese art and pottery, presidential buildings, Sun Yat Sen’s Memorial Hall and so on.
But we did not feel for that, so we chose just one to pay a visit: Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall.
The premises are enormous.

On the left and the right side flanked by two beautiful buildings: the National Theater and the National Concert Hall.
On the other end of the endless square, Chiang Kai-shek’s Memorial Hall dooms up. A huge building in white marble.

Inside the hall is Chiang’s huge statue and two guards watching over him.
The ceiling is really beautiful!
On ground level is a museum about Chiang Kai-shek, China and Taiwan.

| If you are interested in the history of Taiwan, China and Chiang Kai-shek, then I recommend that you google about it or read Wikipedia. Very turbulent and quite violent as well. |

A bit old-fashioned and stuffy, I guess, but then…historical musea tend to have that, don’t they?
