An hommage to pink and to Diana Vreeland

September 12, 2013

You gotta love Diana Vreeland!
What a wonderful, eccentric, original woman and thinker she was. Her quotes and one-liners are both strong and quirky.
Here’s one that speaks to me:

“naturally, I adore pink. I love the pale Persion pinks of the little carnations of Provence and Schiaparelli’s pink, the pink of the Incas…And though it’s so vieux jeu I can hardly bear to repeat it––pink is the navy blue of India.”

Since I adore pink as well, here are my 30 best pink pictures, as an ode to both the color pink as to the delightful Diana Vreeland.
Pink is the favorite color of little girls all around the world. Pink is Barbie and princesses. Pink is cotton candy. Pink is sweet. Pink flowers are romantic. Pink is soft, but can also be intense and fierce. Pink is va va voom, poodles and theatre. And how about 50 shades of pink?;-)

Ok, I admit. This one had some help from Photoshop;-).
I myself don’t shy away from pink either, as you can see here;-).
Yes, I am Barbie, I am a princess, I am sweet and I have a hint of Vreeland in my soul !!!
I am pink, watch me roar…uh…purrrrrr…..
What’s your favorite color and why?
