Pune, India, part 6

September 2, 2012

You have seen the hotel from the inside, I have shown you the views from the terrace over the river and the city, now let’s go for a walk.

When we exit the hotel, we see right away some nice murals. They are placed on the walls of the hotel’s Kue Bar.

As you may recall, I love murals, graffity and street art. I already blogged about murals in Mumbai, in Manilla, and in Singapore, part 1 and part 2.

So logically I would hope to able to find some cool street art in Pune too, but I have no clue yet if there is any and if so, where it is….
We will see…
At least I ran into a nice one from a tiger:

And sometimes other things look very artistic and cool as well. Check out these food stalls; I love them!

And this truck:

Did you see the post I wrote about the jeepneys in Manila? Ot the one about the trucks in Mumbai ? I am all for ‘pimp my ride’!!!

How cool and gorgeously over the top is e.g. the Pakistani Truck Art!?
Since I do not intend to travel to there, I hope to see some nicely decorated trucks here in Pune;-).

I also ran into these mannequins in front of a tattooshop here in Pune that were richly adorned. How lovely!

So, if anybody knows about cool street art in Pune, please let me know!!!

Have an artistic, colorful day and till tomorrow…

  • Revisited Junkie's Corner last week with @megf68 . This place still is as weird and wonderful as when I first visited it. The amount of junk, antiques, treasures and strange objects is jaw-dropping! If you wanna find out more about this place, visit my blog and type Junkie's Corner in the search bar. #junkiescorner #whatissingapore #instasg #Singapore #treasuretrove #weirdplaces
