The last days I told you about the street artist exhibit at Above Second gallery and about an impressive 'abseil'-piece. I also shared images of the street art that I ran into randomly while exploring Hong Kong.
When I was at Above Second I asked the gallery staff where to find more street art in Hong Kong.
Well, first of all they emphasized that street art comes and goes. Sometimes really fast, like within days or weeks. Secondly they noted that some street art is made on roll-up warehouse doors, that may be rolled up during working hours, so you cannot see the piece then.
Having said that, they had a copy of an article with a map of street art pieces in Hong Kong. Unfortunately they only had one copy, so I had to take pictures of the pages right there. Also unfortunate was that it was almost my last day in Hong Kong, so I had no time to take the map and go looking for this street art myself.
The good news is: maybe YOU can! If you live in Hong Kong or are visiting the city. Therefor I share this information with you. I am sure you will find ways to enlarge the photographed pages, so that you can read them well.
The mag also has some pages with a sort of a glossary. I found it interesting to know this about street art.
By chance I came across another magazine which had an article about street artists in Hong Kong. Less useful, but an interesting read anyways.
