Wow, Wonderful WTaipei Hotel

Saturday, August 17, 2013

While in Taipei we stayed in the WTaipei Hotel. It was triple WOW in every aspect!

Here you see the WTaipei. It is the skyscraper with the red rectangular section at the bottom of the building.

The WTaipei is a luxury hotel. It's vibe and style are young and trendy, and the design is cool and artsy.

From the upper left clockwise to the bottom left:
1. Frits poses before the front of the hotel. 2. The overhanging roof over the entrance is 'attached' with an artistic XXL chain. 3. Frits and I in one of the bright red elevator lobby's. 4. Art installation on the ceiling at the lobby of the hotel.

We had a so called Fantastic Suite. And it surely WAS fantastic. Have a look at our suite; room 1518:

The living room with floor to ceiling windows. The view(s) were great; looking right at Taipei's landmark the Taipei 101. For some years it was the world's tallest skyscraper with it's 508 meters.
No, Frits is not wearing a skirt;-). That is a big lampshade...hahaha...

This suite was larger then our condo in Singapore. And it was for us alone; no roommate to share it with. Yippie!

Our hotel bed too was way larger then the one we have in Singapore. And next to the bed they had Tolemeo's: gorgeous designlamps that I have at home in Haarlem as well!

See through from the bathroom to the living room.

Now THAT's a bathtub with a view!!!

Lot of attention for details; both in an esthetic way as in a comfort way.

No ordinary toilet, but a japanese-style toilet. Check out the panel with options. It was cool and we had fun!

As I mentioned already the views from our room were spectacular; both during daytime as at night:

The famous Taipei 101

The lights of the  Taipei 101 were a different color every night.

Let's explore the rest of the WTaipei in my next post, tomorrow.

Have you stayed in any nice hotels lately? Feel for sharing your experience with me and my readers? I would love for you to leave your tips in a comment.
