What to do this Halloween in Singapore
Halloween 2017 is coming up soon! This year most parties in Singapore are held on saturday october 28th.
So what to do this Halloween in Singapore, you may wonder?
I will admit that Halloween does not mean anything special for me, BUT……it’s an occasion to dress up and get creative. And to enjoy the craziness and creativity of many others. So I’m all in!
Halloween Mayhem by the Quay
We will be going to Clarke Quay, our all-time favourite.
Check out some of our pictures from last year:
NOISE invasion festival at Haw Par Villa
But this year, we will first head to Haw Par Villa, which is already spooky by nature (AND my favourite location in Singapore).
How appropriate that we plan to go as Mr Leopard and Ms Lion to a place that’s filled with felines.
No, not real ones.
Haw Par Villa aka Tiger Balm Gardens
The brothers who build Haw Par villa were the inventors of the -still famous today- Tiger Balm.
Their names -Haw and Par- mean Tiger and Leopard.
They drove around in a customised old-timer that was made to look like a tiger, with a roar coming out of the horn.
The number of tiger and lion statues on the grounds of Haw Par Villa or Tiger Balm Garden is huge.
So I would like to think thatus as a lion and a tiger would fit right in, don’t you think?!
I wrote a lot of blogposts about Haw Par Villa. You can find them here.

Halloween Horror Nights on Sentosa
It was fun, but we were not planning on going again. Especially because of the crazy long cueing times. To wait more than an hour for an attraction of 2 minutes is a bit too much to ask, in our opinion.
But the same friends that asked us the first time invited us to go with them this year, so we did. Again it was fun, but the insane waiting times took away a lot of the fun.
So what about you? Do you celebrate Halloween?
