Let’s pick up our canal tour where we ended in part 1.
As you can see, it is lovely to cruise through the canals of Amsterdam’s city centre, but there’s more to discover.
You can leave the city centre and sail to the lake the IJ, behind Amsterdam’s Centraal Station Railway Station.
From there there are several directions and destinations to choose, e.g Amsterdam-Noord or IJburg.
We ended our boat tour with a dinner at Pont 13. This restaurant is located on a converted boat. A unique location with good food and drinks.
Everyone took everyone’s picture. There was laughter and there were stories. Ron, Greetje’s husband, must have felt a bit out of place with all that girl talk around him, hahaha. But he took it as a sport and even picked up the cheque at the end! Sweet guy!
When we sailed back it was getting dark rapidly. But the boat ride to Central Station was a short one, and from there, us gals took the tram and car back home, while Ron sailed back his boat to it’s place in a harbor.
And here ends our fantastic day on a boat in Amsterdam; it was perfect! What was the best boat trip you ever had and why?
