How can one NOT be impressed by this sight?!
Although we do not live ‘around the corner’ any longer, I still go back there regularly, especially since I bought an annual pass.
I wrote very recently about my visit to Tulipmania that was held inside the Flower Dome. Once there I also revisited the cactea and succulents that I like so much.
After the Flower Dome, I went inside the other glasshouse: the Cloud Forest.
It mimics a mountain-y rainforest environment.
Walkways all around.
You take an elevator to the top of the ‘mountain’, from where you walk down, winding your way around the mountain walls, close-up with the tropical rainforest vegetation.
It is really high!
Cool car;-). And how I love the green, velvety, round mosses!
Cute little mountain lake.
Beautiful vegetation, don’t you think?
Taking a selfie via mirrors on the ceiling.
After my visit to both Domes, I had a nice coffee and cake (very affordable afternoon-offer) at Bakerzin, next to the Domes.
Then I strolled a bit more through the vast grounds, admiring flowers, blossoms, trees and the occasional small lizard.
Look at the person on the right to get an idea of the scale!
Two dragon flies.
They are huge!
And they are ridden by boys who catch dragonflies;-).
Singapore has SO many varieties of orchids!!!
And a bit of a blossom season as well.
Leafs can be beautiful too. Especially when they are lit up by rays of sunshine.
The most gorgeous tree trunk ever!
He was quite far away, hence the poor quality of this picture. Still;-).
The Super Trees were magnificent as always. It is lovely to go up the Skywalk around sunset and enjoy the views. You can also go up the highest of the Super Trees and have some F&B there. Again: great views and breezy spot.

I still have not had a chance to go back for the renewed daily light- and music show. Have you seen it? Is it an improvement compared to the previous show?
The Gardens by the Bay regularly organize events, so be sure to keep track of their calendar! You can also be a volunteer at The Gardens in many different ways. Check out their website for more info.
