You can find my other posts about this park here, here and here.
At one point you will find yourself up a hill, and to exit the park, you have to get back down, to street level. We went up the hill with the scenic cute cable ride, down we took the time-machine slash submarine looking funicular train: the Ocean Express.
Totally kitsch, but Batman-movie worthy. Nice!
Sorry for the grainy pics, but it was very dark, suiting the mood of this attraction.
Inside the ‘submarine’, during the ride, movies are played on the ceiling. Again to add to the fantasy and mood. As if there is a magical sea above us that we watch through windows in the ceiling.
I can appreciate something like this.
Kitsch, but well done, we thought.
Before leaving the park, we had to leave our mark, as in ‘we were here’. Only this time it will not have lasted long, since we wrote our message with a wipe-out marker here:
Through this picture it will live on longer though;-).
My message to him and to us. His message to me is best kept private;-). Men!
Well, that’s all, folks.
What do you think of Ocean Park? Is it something you may visit yourself one day? Or do you prefer more flashy, contemporary parks, like Disneyworld?
