It has been wonderful to find back my pleasure in drawing and sketching!
Sylvia, from the very successful fashion blog 40+style, has since then engaged me several times to make illustrations for her website and ebook.
That was quite a challenge, since drawing freely and just for yourself is something different then making illustrations for someone’s publications.
It was fun to do though, and I am grateful that she asked me!
The rest of the time I just sketch away. I draw friends, animals, celebs and nature. Or I get inspired by a scene while traveling.
From time to time I would like to share some of my drawings with you.
Let’s start with a subject that’s always at hand: me;-).
My hair is part of my signature style, so to speak. So it’s a good subject for my sketches.
My health is another reoccurring topic in my life. It has been a subject for my drawings more then once.
|Analysing my (almost daily) headaches.|
I get easily stressed and when I am stressed, I get very irritable.
Sometimes I feel that everyone else on the planet loves sports and exercise, walking through the forest and so on. Loving the healthy, active life.
Ofcourse I DO walk! Not as a goal in itself, but to get from A to B. Or to discover a city.
Like here in winter in my hometown:
For years now I have been -and still am- traveling a lot, having regular jet lags.
I have a stylus, but when I don’t have it with me, I even draw with my fingers. That tends to get a bit ‘rougher’, but it still works;-).
Do you sketch, draw or paint? Are you familiar with Paper53?
Note: if you would like to hire me to make illustrations for you, you can just send me an email via my blog.
