Beach lovers go either to East Coast, which is great for family fun, camping, BBQing, ball games, cycling and the likes.
The young and cool prefer Sentosa, Singapore’s artificial island with it’s equally artificial beaches. It has trendy beach bars, clubs and restaurants. There are sun beds, lounge areas, loud music and cocktails.
Some parts are great for dogs and dog owners as well. The dogs can play, run and swim in the sea.
You may be lying on a sun bed, parasol over your head, cocktail in your hand, looking out over the sea….feeling all Bounty island and all, till your eyes come across all the huge freightships in front of you.
Which is to be expected. After all, you ARE in one of the worlds biggest cargo harbors;-)!
Do you see all the freight ships queueing until they can go in the harbor?
We don’t go to the beach in Singapore often. The last time we went, we were invited by our friends Celeste and Jon who own retriever Cash. They take Cash there for a swim.
It is a funny sight. The dog wants to be close to Jon, while swimming. But if he is close, he wants to ‘grab’ Jon’s shoulders, scratching him painfully with his paws. So Jon tends to swim faster, leaving Cash behind. Which makes him whine constantly while swimming after Jon. Hilarious!
Can you spot Jon and Cash?
Frits looks ar Cash coming out of the water.
And there is Jon too…
Us girlies sat on a blanket, drinking beers and water, chatting the hours away.
Then a beautiful sunset came, Jon and Celeste showered and dried Cash and went for dinner.
All in all we had a relaxed, cosy afternoon and evening. Sunny sundays rock!
