One of the most funky restaurants I know in Singapore, in terms of decor, inside and out. Next to the also cool Blue Jazz Cafe. In the off-the beaten street Haji Lane, full of indie shops and restaurants and bars.
Piedra Negra is fully covered in pretty murals. I love it!
The metal and mesh bull head above the door is great!
The interior of Piedra Negra is very special and artistic too:
I adore these chandeliers!
The mosaics are so cute and eclectic!
I go to Haji Lane often, for shopping, lunch and meeting with friends. Like recently, to catch up with my friend Sabine.
It was a hot, hot afternoon, so we walked from shop to shop for some cooling airco, taking pictures along the way.
|See my reflection in the shop window?;-).
What a cool door handle, not?!
Most of the traditional shophouses in Haji Lane are nowadays cute, small indie shops.
Traditional five-foot alley.
Have a look at some of the cool shops and details on the walls:
Have you been to Piedra Negra and to Haji Lane? Which are your favourite shops and hangouts there? Do you know any other cool and funky places in Singapore? Share them then please, I would love to discover more funky hotspots!
